To winterize your RV this year. With all the hustle and bustle of the upcoming holiday season it would be easy to forget about your summer home away from home. All Seasons RV Center loves to pair their customers with the perfect RV and they don't want to see your investment get ruined. That is why they want to remind you to winterize your RV and offer some tips on how to do it!
Here are All Season RV Center's 10 simple steps to success for winterizing your RV:
Drain the fresh water from the tank.
Drain the hot water heater
Dump and flush the black and gray water holding tanks (leave the gray water valve open)
Find the fresh water inlet and screw in the compressed air adaptor (we have these in stock if you need em!)
Apply compressed air (but not too much!) not to exceed 20lbs/sq inch
Open each faucet in your RV, one at a time, and wait for the compressed air to get the water out of the lines (Don’t forget the shower and the toilet—they both count too!)
Remove the drain plug from the hot water tank so the compressed air can continue to blow out the remaining water. When there is no more water coming out, reinstall the drain plug.
Remove the compressed air adaptor from the fresh water inlet
Pour antifreeze down each drain and toilet (*It is never a good idea to use automotive antifreeze. There is RV antifreeze for a reason!)
Pat yourself on the back because you’re done!
