myCampmate Photo Contest!!!!!!!

How would you like a $20 REI gift card? It’s Labor Day weekend so we know your plans must include some kind of outdoor fun. We want you to share that fun with us and in the process share us with your friends. For your “labor”, you’ll be entered into a contest to win a $20 gift card from REI. Who couldn’t use some more gear?

Sounds like an easy $20, what do I need to do?

Take a picture of you or your friends enjoying the great outdoors this holiday weekend and then upload it to our Facebook wall between Friday 9/2 & Tuesday 9/6. In the photo description tell us you want $20 bucks to spend at REI and describe where you are at or whats going on in the picture. If you happen to “like” the FB page of the location you are at, tag them in the description and receive a bonus entry in the contest.

More important contest details

Q: Do I need to be a MyCampMate user to participate?
A: Nope, but you do need to LIKE our Facebook page.

Q: How many times can I enter?
A: Only once, but you can receive a bonus entry by tagging the location the picture was taken

Q: When will the winner be chosen and how?
A: The winner will be randomly chosen on Wednesday 9/7

Q: The location of the picture has a FB page but I’m not sure how to tag it. Help?
A: Assuming you already “like” the page, when you are typing the desc of the picture, type an “@” and then start typing the name of the page. Just select it from the list! Note, this will also put your post on their page.

Q: Sounds great, but not sure I know how to upload a picture to the myCampmate wall?
A: No problem, we’ll try and help ya out. If you are using FB in a browser, make sure you are on the MyCampMate page (our picture in the upper left, not yours), then click the photo button next to share near the top center of the page. Click upload a photo and browse to where the picture is on your hard drive and select it. If you are using the iPhone FB app, make sure you are looking at our wall not yours and then click the Share Photo button in the upper left. For Android, do the same, but click the button with a little camera icon. On both the Android & iPhone apps, if you are having trouble getting to our page, click Friends from the main screen and then Pages. Don’t forget to fill in the description with the information we are asking for. Also, on the smartphone apps, you may not be able to tag the page of the spot where the picture is taken.
